Whether nom.pl is really restricted to individuals
Every reseller describes .nom.pl as Poland's personal domain, and the abbreviation points that way. What is harder to find is a rule saying so. NASK lists nom.pl among its functional domains alongside com.pl, net.pl, biz.pl and thirty or so others, and neither that list nor the .pl domain name regulations attach an eligibility condition to it. Read the published documents and nom.pl is as open as any other .pl slot.
Treat it as a convention, then, rather than as a restriction. The value in registering under nom.pl is that a Polish visitor reads it as a person rather than as a company, which is useful when you are one and quietly wrong when you are a business hoping to look like one.
Two things in the NASK regulations apply here as much as anywhere in .pl. Subscriber data goes into a publicly accessible database, and the regulations note that a natural person's consent is required before personal data is included in it. And an arbitration action you decline to engage with terminates the agreement three months later, which costs you the domain whatever the merits of the complaint were.
